Rhiannon and Dakota’s wedding day at Plantation Oaks Farms was bathed in golden sunlight, with towering oak trees setting the stage for their love story. The Wedding Details
I always start a wedding day by capturing the details that mean the most to the couple. Rhiannon vow book, rings, heirloom jewelry, floral arrangements, and invitations all told a part of their story. One of the most sentimental touches was a book Dakota received before the ceremony a heartfelt gift from his bride. It’s becoming a beautiful trend for grooms to receive intimate photos of their brides, whether before the wedding or throughout the day, and this sweet exchange made for an emotional and cherished moment.
Getting Ready & The First Touch
The morning was filled with excitement as Rhiannon got ready alongside her bridesmaids and mother, sharing laughter and sweet moments. Meanwhile, Dakota and his groomsmen kicked back with a game of pool and a beer, soaking in the last moments before the ceremony.
One of the most emotional parts of the day was Rhiannon and Dakota’s first touch. Instead of seeing each other before the aisle, they stood back-to-back, holding hands and sharing private vows. It was a quiet, sacred moment just the two of them, hearts racing in anticipation of what was to come.

As the bridal party walked down the aisle, there was an unexpected twist one of the groomsmen walked down with the flower girl, handing out Diet Dr Peppers to the crowd while dancing to the music. It was a fun, lighthearted moment that had everyone smiling.
The ceremony itself was incredibly touching. Dakota’s mother wiped away tears before Rhiannon made her grand entrance, and when she did, her mother proudly walked her down the aisle to give her away. As they exchanged vows with the sun glowing behind them, the love between them was undeniable.

After the ceremony, we explored the property for some of the most stunning couple portraits. We started beneath the majestic oak trees, where the sunlight filtered perfectly through the branches. Then, we moved to the barn with its breathtaking chandelier, capturing romantic and intimate moments as they danced together.
One of the most unique parts of this wedding? The live farm animals! Rihanna and Dakota took a moment to visit the horses on the property, adding a fun, unexpected touch to their wedding gallery. We wrapped up the session at a stone bridge under another grand oak tree, making for a fairytale-like ending to their portraits.
A Reception Full of Energy & Love
The reception kicked off with a fun bridal party entrance, with groomsmen and bridesmaids dancing their way into the celebration. Rhiannon and Dakota shared their first dance surrounded by their closest friends and family, followed by heartfelt speeches from Rihanna’s sister and Dakota’s best man. These speeches gave an inside look into their relationship, filled with sweet stories and lots of laughter.
Then came the cake cutting and an evening of non-stop dancing! The energy in the room was unmatched, with guests celebrating, laughing, and making memories.
